Digital Instructions, Real Hair Sample: What Are You Actually Ordering?

| Written by: Test My Food Sensitivity Team | 3 min read
Digital instructions open on a laptop beside a plain envelope.

“Digital” usually means something happens on a screen.

A film. A concert ticket. Another subscription you meant to cancel.

So when you see digital instructions beside a hair sensitivity test, it's reasonable to wonder what exactly is arriving—and whether your hair is somehow expected to travel through the Wi-Fi.

It isn't. Here's the simple version.

Digital describes the instructions

With the digital option, you receive sample instructions digitally. You still provide a physical hair sample and send it using the instructions supplied with your order.

It isn't an online questionnaire pretending to be a hair sample. And it doesn't mean your results appear the moment you finish checkout.

You can explore the Optimum Hair Sensitivity Test here, including its current included items and ordering options.

What changes depending on where you live?

For UK customers, a physical collection-kit option is available. Customers outside the UK use digital sample instructions rather than receiving a posted collection kit.

The important distinction is how you receive the instructions and collection materials—not whether a real sample is involved.

Before paying, read the selected option on the product page and in your basket. If you're outside the UK, don't plan around a kit arriving in the post. Follow the digital instructions provided for your order.

Follow your instructions, not somebody else's unboxing video

A friend's order, an old screenshot and a video from another country may show a different option.

Use the current instructions supplied with your own purchase for collecting, identifying and sending your sample. Keep your order details handy so you can match your sample to the right order and contact support if you need help.

There's no need to improvise an address or copy an old set of instructions found elsewhere online.

If you're still choosing, view the Optimum test and the option available for your country.

When does the results clock start?

Results are provided in 5–7 working days once your sample has been received. Postal transit is separate from that processing time.

That means the order date, the day you send the sample and the day it arrives are different points in the process. “Digital” speeds up access to instructions; it doesn't remove the physical journey of your sample.

And what are the results for?

The Optimum test is an at-home Hair Sensitivity Test using bioresonance to explore potential food and environmental sensitivity patterns. It is wellness screening, with personalised results intended as a starting point for exploration.

It isn't an antibody allergy test. If you are looking for an assessment of a suspected allergy, speak to a healthcare professional about the appropriate route.

The instructions can be digital. Your hair remains reassuringly offline.
