Charlotte Burch

Months of discomfort and nothing seemed to help... I wish I had tried this sooner. It wasn’t just my regular diet; I found my body had a high reactivity to Turmeric, which was hiding in the daily wellness supplements and powders I took.

Cinnamon was another trigger I was using constantly. Since identifying and adjusting these items in my routine, the constant bloating and stomach cramps have finally cleared up.

Simple and Fast

The process is straightforward: collect a small hair sample at home, mail it in, and receive your detailed report via email in 5-7 business days. No appointments, no blood draws, no complicated preparation.

Start with Clear Direction

Rather than spending weeks or months testing one food at a time, you'll have a comprehensive list of potential triggers from day one.

What's Tested?

Developed through over 17 years of ongoing research, our cutting-edge bioresonance specialists provide one of the most detailed non-invasive sensitivity screenings available in the UK.

Our Individual Sensitivity Test evaluates 600 potential food and environmental sensitivities, all it takes is a small sample of hair.

Environmentally Conscious Testing

Most at-home tests ship unnecessary packaging that creates waste and increases costs.

We simplified the process. All we need is a small hair sample.

Our environmental impact:

  • 264,514 tests completed without excess packaging
  • 0.75 kg CO₂ saved per test (approximately 198 tonnes total)
  • Packaging emissions avoided equivalent to nearly 8,000 mature trees' annual carbon absorption
  • Environmental footprint equivalent to approximately 40 football pitches of forest

Note: This is a digital submission product. A physical kit will only be sent if you select the "Physical Test Kit" option above.

Individual Sensitivity Test FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I complete a hair test on a child?

Children can complete a hair sensitivity test once they reach five years old due to their immune system changes and the importance of eating a varied diet. Infants have not yet built up their tolerance levels to items, highlighting false positives in their test results. However, it is up to the parents or guardians if they would still like to proceed knowing this.

Does the hair sample need to contain the root?

The safest way to take a hair sample is to ask someone else to help you. Using your forefinger and thumb, gather 3 or 4 strands and slightly twist the hair together. This will make cutting the hair sample much more accessible and keep all the hair strand in the same direction. Try to cut the hair sample as close to the scalp as possible, using one cut. If you do not have anyone to help you, using a mirror may help ensure you avoid injury. If this hasn’t answered your question, please reach out below!

How do I take a hair sample?

Using your forefinger and thumb gather 3 or 4 strands and slightly twist the hair together. This will make cutting the hair sample much easier and keep all the hair strand in the same direction. Try to cut the hair sample as close to the scalp as possible, using one cut. We do not need the follicle (bulb) for the testing. You do not actually have to cut your hair. You can brush your hair and collect hair strands from your hairbrush.

How does hair testing work?

We use Bio Resonance technology to test the hair samples. This works by scanning the hair sample to create a profile of a particular person’s energy that radiates from the DNA. With this profile, we can then scan all of the items in the chosen test against the hair sample. If, for a specific reason, a particular items pattern does not harmonize with that of the hair sample of the client, then the energy is distorted and therefore does not co-operate, showing as sensitivity, deficiency and/or imbalance.

How much hair do I have to provide?

We usually ask for 3-4 hairs, if the hair is longer than an inch. If the hair is shorter than this, 7-8 hairs is usually sufficient for testing. We usually ask for 3-4 hairs, if the hair is longer than an inch. My hair is dyed, permed or treated; will this affect the result?

The test is completed on the hair sample composition so that no hair processing will not affect the result. However, if you would like, you can provide hair from elsewhere on the body.

I’m really impressed with the HSO Food Intolerance Test Kit! It was super easy to use at home, and the results came quickly. The test covers over 500 items, including food, gluten, and pollen sensitivities. The results were clear and gave me helpful insights into what might be causing my issues. It’s a convenient way to learn more about your body without needing a doctor’s appointment. I definitely recommend this kit if you’re looking to better understand your food sensitivities!

Not great. I know of a couple of allergies/sensitivities that the test didn’t even pick up on. 🤔

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the results did not match your expectations.

Please note that our test is a complementary, non-medical sensitivity test and does not test for IgE-mediated allergic reactions or diagnose allergies. Results can also vary over time, as they reflect sensitivities detected at the time of testing.

We understand how confusing it can be when a known sensitivity does not appear in the report, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We are here if you need any guidance about your results and elimination diet.

Wasn't quite what I thought it was, probably wouldn't bother again. I thought it might show up food intolerances as I have lactose intolerance problems and dust allergies but it came up with nothing at all. Perhaps I was expecting too much.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the test didn’t meet your expectations.
Please note that our test does not detect food intolerances or allergies (such as lactose intolerance or dust allergies). This may explain why your known issues did not show in the results.
We’re sorry if this wasn’t clear enough in advance. If you’d like any further help with your order, please contact us with your order number.

I was, skeptical about this..but i knew i already had some issues with food ..I picked up on the things I already knew about and some few surprises in there but it made perfect sense and it also picked up on my tree allergies and certain grasses ...so I know its correct as I've known about this for a long time ..I am in the process of changing my diet ..I will retest after 6 months just to see if it's any better ..I have recommended this test to other people

5-Star Review:I’m so impressed with this intolerance kit! The process was incredibly easy to follow, and I had my results back much quicker than expected. The report is detailed, clear, and covers a massive range—testing for 625 different intolerances! It really helped me understand what might be affecting my health, and I’ve already started making changes based on the insights. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get a deeper understanding of their body and sensitivities!

Very prompt Customer service given by Emily. Report came through a little over 3 weeks from posting my sample and gives me great insights into sensitivities.

I received my test kit sans information card to complete. I spoke with Angel via life chat and he sent me a pdf to print and ship with my sample.

Casey was very helpful today when I went on the webchat to find out where our results were. They were sent immediately. Only gave 4 stars because of the fact I had to chase the results.
