•  Eat smaller meals at a slower pace: Since food is delicious and we always seem to be hungry, we always seem to eat too much, and we ate it way too fast. Both of these eating habits are prone to stomach bloating. The next time you sit down to a big meal, make a conscious decision to eat less of it and enjoy the meal itself a bit more, too, by eating it slower. It can be hard to limit each of these things, but with time and dedication, your stomach bloating can improve. 

•  Avoid rich foods: No matter who you are, there are some foods that can create stomach bloat that can be annoying, painful, and frustrating when it comes to planning outfits. Avoid rich foods such as cheese products, large amounts of pasta, and those foods featuring heavy creams. If you eat meals with these kinds of foods frequently, limit the amount or consider adapting the recipe so that there aren’t as many of the problem ingredients in them. This will help you cut our bloat on a regular basis. 

•  Limit carbonated drinks and alcohol: Carbonated drinks have a lot of air bubbles that will create stomach bloat. Alcoholic drinks will also cause stomach bloat due to the alcohol content in them. If possible, limit or entirely avoid these drinks when you want to keep your stomach bloat-free.

 While these tips don’t have the same allure as the 16-year-old’s ability to eat an entire cow and still not gain an ounce, it is nice to know that you can have some sort of control over your body’s level of bloat even after a large meal. It could be strange to think that something as simple as taking a food sensitivity test could eliminate a lot of stomach bloating, but sometimes it really is those small details that make all of the difference.
